Opinion — The rooms we run our economies from

There is a room on the sixth floor of a grey building in Frankfurt where, every six weeks, twenty-five people decide what the price of money will be for four hundred million of us. We should probably talk about that room more.

The good news is that the rooms are, mostly, quiet, well-argued, and boringly technical. The bad news is that the public conversation about them is almost the opposite.
